The Flow of Biblical Narrative
The narratives we find in the Bible are not merely history (though they most certainly are historical!). The authors have included, expounded upon and skipped over particular events for a reason. That is, their flow is important, since the purpose of narrative is first and foremost to teach us about God and how to live for his glory. Consider this point as you take a look at this example arc from Acts 1:12-26.
