Block Diagramming

The First Three Passes of “Phrasing”

Learn to wrap your mind around a passage of Scripture by breaking it into phrases, indenting to show subordination, and drawing arrows to increase clarity of connections. This detailed grammatical study method will lead to an clearer view of what the author is communicating in a passage, which we pray will culminate in joyful treasuring of and heartfelt obedience to Jesus Christ.

“Block Diagramming” is a Biblearc Mini-Course. Mini-Courses are designed to help you make better use of Biblearc’s tools while also giving you a taste of our core “Path Courses” which cover the entire spectrum of Bible study training.

This course is FREE.

About the Phrasing Courses

This course is an abbreviated version of our Phrasing Path Course, which teaches students the full Phrasing Bible study method. While the Block Diagramming Bible study method involves making three passes over the text, two further passes remain in Phrasing: proper labeling of the grammatical relationships between different phrases, and intentional savoring of the Lord based upon the passage’s teaching. Thus, while the Block Diagramming Mini-Course will be beneficial in and of itself, some students will want to continue with the fourth and fifth passes via the Phrasing course.

Prerequisites

None.
