Exhortations from James 1
Count it as joy when you meet trials, because of what you know that God is doing. Do so by seeking wisdom from God, day by day, knowing in faith that He delights to give it. Boast not in your present circumstances, but to the end to which they are leading, for God is ushering you to eternal life through your trials. He is not tempting you to sin. He is the father of lights who has brought us forth and sustains us with good gifts. Therefore remember to close your mouth in order to listen to the Word that saves you, and live that perfect law of liberty so that you may be Gospel blessed. For true faith is seen in being transformed to live like God, with compassion and holiness.
