Lesson 7 | Second Level Connections

Review

Building something complicated can take a lot of work.
So remember the goal and guidelines!

What we learned this lesson

  1. The goal of Arcing is to understand the whole argument with the goal of worship.
  2. How to move past first-level arcs:
  3. Principle—Start with low-hanging fruit, not necessarily the beginning of the passage.
  4. Pitfall—Don't close off the second side of the relationship too early.
  5. How to write a main point summary of a passage:
  6. Ensure you are capturing the primary impulse for why the verses at hand were written.
  7. Consider what the most important 1 or 2 supporting relationships are and see if you can add in a few words to capture the ways they are supporting the big idea.
