God Used Grammar
You’re coming to the end of this Mini-Course in Block Diagramming. As you do, I want to remind you that grammar is important and that understanding the grammar of God’s book is important. Why? Because God gave us a book written in human language, and it behooves us to understand that language. Why? Because it is the grammar, those little—yet vital—details, that allows us to better know him and accurately live out and teach His Word.
The main reason we need to use appropriate exegetical methods stems from the fact that God’s revelation, though timeless, remains firmly rooted in human history and language. —George H. So if we want to accurately understand, obey, and teach God’s written Word, we must first understand its grammar. If God thought it was important, how could we ignore it?
