Lesson 4 | Support by distinct statement

Assignment: Philippians 1:3-8

Build a bracket of Philippians 1:3-8.

  1. Break-up the bracket of Philippians 1:3-8 into pieces.
  2. Draw brackets and indicate relationships.
Good news: this bracket only contains the logical relationships we have covered!
Here are some hints:
  1. Don't make too many divisions; focus on dividing propositions, and some propositions can contain many words.
  2. Verses 3-5 and 6-8 are two equal halves, the second building upon the first.
  3. The first part of verse 7 is not telling us why verses 3-6 occur, but rather is giving us more information about his feeling about them.
