Lesson 9 | Crossing cultures

Assignment 9: Cross-cultural sermon

Create an arc, bracket or phrase of 1 Peter 1:3-9. Then write and record an expositional sermon on this text designed to be preached cross-culturally.

1. Prepare an arc, bracket or phrase of 1 Peter 1:3-9. Be sure to include your own main point summary.
2. Write a sharp, concise, and Christ-focused teaching on this text in a Notes tab. You may write an outline or the full text of an expositional sermon on this text.
Make sure to...
  1. Base your work on the structure of the arc, bracket, or phrase you shared above.
  2. Take special care to communicate in such a way that can transcend cultures. If you are a cross-cultural missionary or have plans to be so, feel free to aim your message at a particular cultural audience.
** Women are encouraged to record how they might share the gospel with a person of another culture using 1 Peter 1:3-9, instead of a formal sermon.
3. Add your arc, bracket, or phrase to the Notes tab. Do so by clicking the icon to add a Study Module and then selecting the desired module. Share this notes tab.
