Lesson 5 | Application & Decisions

Assignment: Youth Conference Message

Write and record a youth conference message based upon a text that you have studied via Arcing, Bracketing or Phrasing.

1. Prepare a shared page with an arc, bracket or phrase of your choice. This may be work you have done in the past, or a new study. You must be the author of this work, and it should be based upon a New Testament text. Be sure it includes a main point summary.

Paste the link to the shared page here.

2. Write a sharp, concise, and Christ-focused teaching on this text that will serve as the written content of the published page you will create. You may write an outline or the full text of a seminar connected to your text. Take into account youth as your audience and focus the message toward them, while still ensuring that you are delivering a truly expositional teaching of the text.
Make sure to...
  1. Base your work on the structure of the arc, bracket, or phrase you shared above.
  2. Focus on how Christ is revealed in the text.
  3. Include three "amplications" which apply the text as the New Covenant does, calling people to respond to the gospel, either as believers or non-believers.
** Women are encouraged to design their message to equip young ladies in areas of particular relevance to them.
