Lesson 5 | Application & Decisions
Review
There are pitfalls in calling people to respond to a text.
But the pitfalls don't remove the need to call people to respond!
What we learned this lesson
When you teach or preach, don’t make mere applications but rather make “amplications.”
An amplication is an action that is demanded from the text, though it is not explicitly stated.
An amplication must be spoken to people's hearts as the New Covenant does.
As you call people to respond, beware of giving them false assurance. But do call them to respond!
