Adding To Our 3-Step Process
Our 3-Step Discovery Process is back! Let’s add to step three.
1. Read the passages that the writer expects you to be familiar with.
2. Study the passage of focus.
3. Use Bible study tools to refine your study
- View cfs to clarify and get context
- Read the context of cfs as needed
- Consider footnotes
- Examine different translations and their footnotes
- SUPPLEMENT WITH A SEARCH
Spend a couple of minutes considering some exegetical questions that emerged from step two of the process. You likely already have tentative answers to these questions from your work with cross-references, footnotes, and translation comparison. But for the most important of those questions, you are going to want to verify your conclusions. Do so by employing your new skills in searching the Bible.
