Lesson 10 | Adjectives and Adverbs

[3] Adverbs

Our final grammar point in this lesson is on adverbs. Adverbs are words that describe verbs. In English, adverbs usually end in -ly. He ran quickly. She studied diligently. They did well. In Greek, adverbs often end in -ως (but not always). Thus far in this course, you have learned only a few adverbs (οὕτως, νῦν, ἐκεῖ, and πάλιν).
The good news of this lesson step is that adverbs do not change their form. They always look the same. So, you do not need to memorize anything other than the lexical form.
