Prayer
Lord God, our hopes are wrapped up in the return of your Son. Yet we confess that we can easily get distracted and turn our focus to our discontentment in this world—including our frustrations with our fellow brothers and sisters. Forgive us and help us rather to wait (and suffer, as need be) patiently, remembering your compassionate and merciful purpose. And when that is not enough, remind us that Jesus shall also come as Judge.
