Assignment

Just like you did in the song and “More Practice” steps of this lesson, you will translate the nouns and prefixes in the passage below. In addition, we are asking you to translate proper names—names that have not been in your vocabulary. But since they are names, you should be able to sound them out and make an educated guess. We will provide translations for everything else.

Instructions (same as before)

  1. Type only one word for each blank.
  2. Translate each word literally; don’t try to smooth things out.
  3. If the word has more than one gloss in your vocab sheet, try to choose the best translation in context.
  4. Don’t forget to translate the definite article.
