One of the most challenging times for many believers in Israel is the 3 years after high school when they serve in the army. Israel is not a country without enemies and so these young people really are being asked to put their lives on the line in order to defend their country. At the same time, Christians serving in the army are often known for their upright conduct and courage in battle. Besides this, in recent years we have seen more and more opportunities given to believers in the army to share their faith before their units. May the Lord be pleased to use their courage in this respect as well, and make himself known through their witness!
