Lesson 8 | Explore the Context

Practice

Instructions

In the module below, we have included the Topics lens completed in Lesson 4 as a guide to help you see connections to the surrounding context. We have also provided a summary of the previous chapter (Mark 1).
  1. Read Mark 1–3 at least once through. (To open a Bible panel, click View Full Screen at the bottom of the module. If you are on a phone or have an otherwise small screen, you may need to open the Biblearc app separately.)
  2. Write a brief summary of Mark 3 in the box at the bottom of the passage.
  3. Markup 2–3 details in Mark 2 that connect to specific themes in either chapter 1 or 3, or both. (Colors do not have to match the highlights from the Topics lens.)
  4. Add a label for each highlight color you use.
  5. Use dot notes to describe the connections you are seeing to the surrounding context. Include any questions that arise from your study.
