Instructions

  1. Pray I.O.U.S.: Incline my heart... Open my eyes... Unite my heart... Satisfy us...
  2. Read Philippians 1–3 at least twice (including at least once aloud) before adding any markups. (To open a Bible panel, click View Full Screen at the bottom of the module. If you are on a phone or have an otherwise small screen, you may need to open the Biblearc app separately.)
  3. Write a brief summary of chapters 1 and 3 in the Context Summary text boxes.
  4. Markup Phil 2 using the Context lens.
  5. Highlight any details that connect to specific themes in the surrounding context. Use a different color for each topic or theme from the context.
  6. Add a label for each color you use.
  7. Use dot notes to describe the connections you are seeing to the surrounding context. Include any questions that arise from your study.
