Assignment: 2Co 3:12–16

Now it’s your turn to apply the paraphrasing process we’ve been discussing. Don’t rush. Let the passage and your careful work in interpreting it lead your heart to joy-filled worship.
Make subjects short and concrete, ideally naming the actor of the verb.¹

Instructions:

  • Make an arc/bracket of 2Co 3:12–16
  • Check your interpretation using the three verification markers: [[ IMPORTANT: When a verification marker leads you to make a change to your arc/bracket or paraphrase, record this in the notes tab. This will allow your coach to see how you worked through the process. ]]
  • #1 | Reconstruct the Scene Complete a wooden paraphrase, bolding the conjunctions.
  • #2 | Check for Continuity Read through your paraphrase critically.
  • #3 | Re-examine the Evidence Compare your paraphrase with the biblical text, line-by-line.
