Lesson 2 | The Second Pass: Indent

Let’s put the first two passes to work for us! Don’t forget to add the phrase type labels to the MINE column. This is the last assignment we will ask you to do so.
Do the First and Second Passes of DIALS (Divide and Indent).
How-To Reminders
In Edit mode, select the "Indent" tab in the floating panel at the bottom, and divide this passage into phrases.
Then, indent all subordinate phrases by dragging them one tab to the right of the beginning of their anchor phrase.
The only exception to this are genitive phrases, which should be dragged to the right of their head noun.
Extract phrases and indent phrases within lines as necessary. (See demo videos in earlier in this lesson for help.)
When you are finished, continue to the next step and submit the lesson. After you do so, the instructor's work will be available for you to review while you wait for your coach to give you feedback (typically within 3-5 days).
