Online Articles and Videos
The internet contains a treasure trove of articles and videos that can help you understand a book of the Bible.
I’ve put this step last because online writing lacks the quality control of the publishing industry. Commentaries are written by superb scholars, whose reputation is built on their teaching and research at top Christian seminaries and universities, and whose work is critiqued and refined by interaction with fellow scholars. When they write a commentary, they know what they are doing.
But the World Wide Web is the digital Wild West, where anybody with an internet connection can share their opinions on anything, whether they are one of the dullest knives in the drawer or a sharp and dangerous heretical blade.
So when searching for articles, I recommend looking at trusted sources and podcasts, like the ones listed below, and other conservative, evangelical, Reformed organizations.
