Lesson 6: The Covenantal Horizon

Studying Haggai

Let’s take a passage in Haggai now and look at it using the Covenantal Horizon. We’re going to jump to the end of the book and study 2:20–23, because biblical theology is an especially suitable tool to correctly interpret these difficult verses.
For time’s sake, I’ll share my arc/bracket and phrase of this passage (the first step of Bible study). Take a few minutes to look at the structure of the passage before you read the following paragraphs, and then answer the question underneath the images below.
Now let’s go through the process I described in the previous step for Haggai 2:20–23.
