Choose the assignment option that best fits your experience.
Option 1 (Fairly new to Bible study and/or bracketing)
Read through Luke 1:57–80 several times throughout the week.
Using the Discourse Module below, divide Luke 1:67–79 into single subject-verb propositions. Each proposition should have one verbal idea.
Edit the text to color the simple subjects blue and the simple verbs red.
Add some dot notes identifying key themes or logical connections that you have observed.
Option 2 (Some experience in Bible study and bracketing)
Read through Luke 1:57–80 several times throughout the week.
Using the Discourse Module below, divide Luke 1:67–79 into single subject-verb propositions.
Edit the text to color the simple subjects blue and the simple verbs red.
Complete a Bracket of either vv.68–75 or vv.76–79.
Add some dot notes identifying key themes or logical connections that you have observed.
Option 3 (Experienced in Bible Study and bracketing)
Read through Luke 1:57–80 several times throughout the week.
Using the Discourse Module below, divide Luke 1:67–79 into single subject-verb propositions.
Edit the text to color the simple subjects blue and the simple verbs red.
Complete a Bracket of vv.67–79, including a main point summary.
Add a some dot notes identifying key themes or OT connections that you have observed.
