Deeper Relationships in James

There are two key principles that serve as a foundation for the concept of the deeper relationship.
First, in Arcing we want to get at why the author said this here. But there is a way to relate relationships which, in one sense is “correct,” but that does not get at this question. By thinking in terms of the deeper relationship we are not just checking a box by completing our arc, but really wrestling with the meaning of the text. Second, language is full of rhetorical expressions and forms that are communicating something beyond the simplistic meaning of the words involved.
Let's freshly examine the passages we have studied so far in James in order to consider some biblical examples.
