The Main Point of Bible Sermons
One of the biggest mistakes a person can make when studying a Bible sermon—be it preached by Moses, Nebuchadnezzar or Jesus—is to miss the main point. As we have been discussing in this course, this is something we cannot afford to do if we aim to faithfully read and teach God's Word. And this certainly applies to the genre of Bible sermons. Arcing can be a very helpful tool for finding the main point and working through how the entire sermon defends that point and presses the truth of it on the conscience of the hearers.
