Lesson 2 | Support by Restatement
Lesson Objectives
The role of a restatement is to further explain or unpack an idea. The world is full of explanations, but humans don't explain things the same way every time. We explain the right way by indicating the wrong way, ask pointed questions that give meaningful answers, explain one thing by comparing it with another thing, and unpack not only words but actions, indicating how they are to be accomplished.
We do this because God is delighted to create us with the capacity to understand his ways. Thus, he also uses multi-faceted means to explain his ideas to us. God is a magnificent teacher and shows it in his love of being understood by his people.
