There are 18 logical relationships that connect propositions, in two broad categories:
Coordinate propositions indicate the relationship between two or more pieces, each of which makes its own independent contribution.
Subordinate propositions support another clause in some way.
Bracketing distinguishes between propositions and pieces.
"Propositions" are single verbal statements along with their modifiers.
"Pieces" are groups of propositions.
There are three coordinate relationships:
Series, in which each piece makes its own independent contribution to a whole.
Progression, in which each piece is a further step toward a climax.
Alternative, in which each piece expresses a different possibility arising from a situation.
There are six steps to using the module for Bracketing:
Create a new module by clicking the gray + icon.
Toggle the edit button to "on."
Adjust how Bible versions are displayed.
Split propositions.
Draw brackets and indicate relationships.
Know that you have finished when there is a bracket over the entire passage.
