Lesson 4 | Vocab

New Vocabulary

Since Greek 2 focuses on non-finite verbs, you will learn many Greek verbs in this course, including 20 in this lesson. You should already know six Greek verbs from previous lessons: εἰμί (I am), λέγω (I say), ἔχω (I have), γίνομαι (I am/become), ἔρχομαι (I come/go), and λύω (I untie). Like nouns, Greek verbs change their form to communicate their function. However, we will memorize verbs in the present, active, indicative, first person, singular form (we will explain these terms later) because Greek lexicons list verbs by this form.
