13. And it was, when Elijah heard, that he wrapped up his face in his cloak, and he went out and stood [at] the opening of the cave. And behold, to him a voice [came], and it said, “Why are you here, Elijah?”
14. And he said, “I have been very zealous for Yahweh, the God of armies, for the sons of Israel have forsaken your covenant; your altars they have thrown down; and your prophets they have killed with the sword. And I remain by myself, and they seek my life, to take it.”
15. And Yahweh said to him, “Come, return to your way to [the] wilderness of Damascus, and you will go and you will anoint Hazael as king over Aram.”
18. “And I have caused to remain in Israel seven thousand, all the knees that have not bowed down to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him.”
