22. And he caused [me] to discern and spoke with me and said, “Daniel, I have now come out to impart to you understanding.
23. “In the beginning of your supplication for favor, a word went out, and I came to tell [it], for you [are] a precious treasure. And [you must] discern the word and understand the vision.
24. “Seventy periods of sevens have been determined upon your people and upon your holy city, to complete transgression and and to seal up sin and to make atonement for iniquity and to bring eternal righteousness and to seal up vision and prophet and to anoint a holy of holies.
25. “And you shall know and have insight: from the going out of the word to return and to build Jerusalem until an Anointed One, a prince, [will be] seven periods of sevens, and sixty-two periods of sevens; she will return and be built, plaza and moat, and in distress of times.”
