Assignment

Instructions

  1. Use the cheat sheet to highlight the aspect/mood of all verbs. Use the first five colors for the first five aspects/moods on the cheat sheet, along with the grey, bright blue, and purple for participles, infinitives, and imperatives respectively.
  2. Divide up the text into verbal units, using the cantillation marks as a guide.
  3. Indent offline clauses appropriately. Note: You will need to do an extraction in one verse of this assignment as discussed here.
  4. To extract a clause:
  5. In Edit mode, click on the Edit tab in the floating box.
  6. Click the Extract a phrase button and follow the directions presented in the floating box.
  7. (You can undo your work by clicking on Extract a phrase again and then on the red “Reinsert” button.)
  8. Label the category of each offline clause in the “Mine” column. We showed you how to do this in the Practice step of this lesson.
  9. Translate the text in the “Translation” tab, getting aid from the “Helps” tab.
