We were thrilled a few years ago to interview one of the foremost exponents of Hebrew discourse analysis, Dr. Jason DeRouchie, on Facebook Live. You will enjoy seeing how he deals with mainline and offline clauses, and shows you how important this analysis is for understanding the text, with the aim of moving you to worship our covenant God.

You should note that Dr. DeRouchie does use different language to describe verbal forms. In the system that he uses, an imperfect is a yiktol, a perfect a qatal, a sequential-imperfect a wayyiktol, and a sequential-perfect a weqatal.
