Lesson 4 | Types of Offline Clauses

Practice

Now it’s your turn to indent offline clauses and label them!

How to Add Labels to a Text Hierarchy

Unless an offline clause is simply marking the beginning of a new paragraph, you need to label it. Here's how:
  1. Make sure you're in Editing mode by turning the Editing toggle on at the top right corner.
  2. Double-click on the vertical grey lines on the left of the line to which you want to add a label to, and click on "Add relationship."
  3. In the right-most tab, "Custom," select a label from the list we've preloaded.
  4. Click outside the box to return to the text.
If you change your mind, you can change the label by clicking on it and either selecting a new one or clicking "Clear relationship."
