Now let's take a look at one of these special cases as we zoom in on God's creative power in 2Co 4:1-6.
Write with rhythmic meter to produce the intended tone.

Instructions:

  • Make an arc/bracket of 2Co 4:1–6
  • Check your interpretation using the three verification markers:
  • #1 | Reconstruct the Scene Complete a wooden paraphrase, bolding the conjunctions.
  • #2 | Check for Continuity Read through your paraphrase critically.
  • #3 | Re-examine the Evidence Compare your paraphrase with the biblical text, line-by-line.
  • As you do so, determine how the author is using the OT citation found in v. 6.
  • How does the author introduce the citation?
  • How does the cited passage function in its original context?
  • Your paraphrase should explicitly provide the reference of the citation and answer both these questions.
