Lesson 3 | Paraphrasing the Logic Assignment: 2Co 3:4–6 Let’s continue our study of 2 Corinthians, this time focusing on tracing the logic of the passage in the text, bracket, and paraphrase.
Avoid separating the subject and verb with more than two words.¹
Instructions
Make an arc/bracket of 2Co 3:4–6.
Write a paraphrase, making sure to paraphrase the logical connectors (conjunctions) according to your arc/bracket.
Make all conjunctions bold in both the ESV passage and the paraphrase.
Make adjustments to the bracket as necessary while paraphrasing.
When finished, make sure that the logic of the text aligns with the logic of the bracket and paraphrase.
Bracket, paraphrase, and make conjunctions BOLD. When you are finished, continue to the next step and submit the lesson. After you do so, the instructor's work will be available for you to review while you wait for your coach to give you feedback (typically within 3-5 days).
